Cindy Alderslade
I learnt most of what I do from an old aunt who used to look after
me as a child. She would always find something for myself and my brother to do.
The silence in her home was deafening with only the mantle clock ticking and no
radio or TV in her house, it was like an oasis in my later years from this
sometimes mad world.
She taught me to sew using an old hand sewing machine,
stick, glue, paint, rag rug, the old fashioned meaning of cut and paste, we
made all sorts of things, even naturally dyed paste eggs at Easter and Easter
bonnets.
This is where I got my passion for crafting from which has carried on
and developed through my life .
