I live in Yarm on Tees, North Yorkshire. Other family members include rescued rough haired Jack Russel Alfie and Irish rescue dog Monty.
I am a member of the Association of Animal Artists. This association supports many good charities.
My love for art started as a teenager when I initially tried oil painting. I then became interested in photography and loved capturing images of landscapes and rock climbing.
I love using the medium of pastels or colour pencils to capture the colours and character of animals. I find inspiration for my subjects from countryside walks both at home and abroad.
I am a member of the Guild Society of Artists (GSA) and gained the AGSA professional qualification. This was awarded for the "wonderful artwork" submitted to the GSA fine art committee and for my artist professionalism. On gaining the AGSA I was invited to interview for the Art and Framing magazine.
I can often be found working in the centre in Staithes together with my wife Diane. I print and package my own giclee art prints using papers, and pigment inks to the Fine Art Guild's ArtSure Quality standard. All our products are created by ourselves from sublimating makeup bags to printing bookmarks.
